Made with cow milk.
Process – Cooked cheese curds are washed in order to limit acidity, pressed and then brined. Golden yellow hue is brought about by annatto seeds.
Flavour Profile – Smooth, fruity, sweetish on the palate. Aged for 2 months and above. Younger cheeses are milder while more matured ones are sharper. Natural edible rind.
Serving suggestions – Serve with crackers/ bread, fresh fruits and jam on platters/ cheeseboards. Melts well. Good for cooking and baking, in soups and grilled sandwiches.
Pairing – Crisp white with younger milder gouda and dry red wines with sharper ones.
